The undefeated Senior High Tyger football team acknowledges the cheers of the student body during a pep assembly this afternoon.
Pete Henry Gym was rocking this afternoon as the Senior High and middle school student bodies cheered the undefeated Tyger football team toward its meeting with Madison at Arlin Field tonight.
The Tyger Marching Band played as they circled the floor in a dance routine moments before the football team came to the center of the gym. The crowd roared its approval as Principal Brad Callender proclaimed “Tyger Nation!”
Head coach Chioke Bradley had the audience on its feet and shouting. Superintendent Brian Garverick, carrying the school’s bright orange spirit stick, and Mayor Tim Theaker were among those cheering the team.
The Tygers are seeking to become the first team in Senior High history to post a 10-0 regular season record before they move into the first round of playoffs next weekend.
